About me

I am originally from America and have always been drawn to travel and exploring so in 2009 I moved to South Korea to teach English to 5 and 6 year olds. I loved working with children and continued to do so when I moved to Norwich a few years later. It has been such a privilege to see firsthand the way that children across different cultures communicate through the single language of play.

When I first arrived in the UK I began working in the Early Years Foundation Stage with the intention of training to become a teacher. My path changed course, though, when I began to realise how important strong and safe relationships were for children’s development and wellbeing.

I trained to become a play therapist and I began working for a children’s mental health team for the NHS. After spending nearly a decade working in the field of children’s mental health, I have experienced a wide range of difficulties and presentations. I have also learned that every family is different and every child is unique!

In my spare time I love to be with my family and I love to travel. I spend a lot of time in the garden in the summer - especially when the sun is out!
